Tailor-made barefoot shoes: get comfortable and that barefoot feel footwear with a perfect fitting grounding shoe

Our tailor-made option is perfect for those who have always struggled to find shoes that truly fit. We create barefoot shoes that follow the natural shape of your feet, offering a fit that feels personal, comfortable, and free.

1) Design your barefoot shoe

2) Measure your feet
Head to our Measuring Guide, to find our step-by-step guidance eon how to measure your feet, so we can create your custom-fitted pattern.
* In case you have very exceptional feet, like narrow heels, curled toes of other unique features, please let us know as we can take this in account when crafting your custom shoes.

3) We craft your shoes
With your measurements, we create a custom pattern and handmake your shoes to size. This process takes 2 to 3 weeks from the time we receive your complete measurements.

Natural toe box / barefoot shape: Our design is made to the shape of your feet, making them highly comfortable and creating that unique barefoot feeling.

Earthing through leather soles: Our leather soles will keep you grounded, which improves mood and sleep and decreases inflammation and stress levels.

Repurposed leather: All the top and back parts of our shoes are created with repurposed leather, minimizing our environmental impact and making each pair a limited edition.

Made by hand: Our shoes are cut, glued, and stitched by our amazing local artisans, which is a 2.5-hour process

Charity: 1% of our profit is monthly donated to two South African NGOs. More about this on our About page.
Leather has proven to be a durable material, capable of grounding and protecting at the same time. It does however wear through faster than rubber, and so here are some steps you can take to look after your Earth Soles:

- Avoid getting them wet

- Try to avoid hot, abrasive pavements and tar

- Avoid scuffing your feet unnecessarily

- Give them some love with some protective beeswax or Dubbin

Exchanges

Exchanges are possible within 90 days. Your return shipping is at your expense, and a handling fee of $11 will be charged for the exchange. Once we receive your returned shoes in perfect condition and the handling fees are paid, we will send your new pair.

Returns

Returns are possible within 90 days. Your return shipping is at your expense, a handling fee of $16 will be charged for the return. A refund will be issued once we receive the shoes in perfect condition, along with $10 in store credit for your next purchase.
