Design your own barefoot shoes: A selection of colorful leather swatches for customizing your Earth Sole footwear

This is your chance to custom-design your barefoot shoe! Choose from our wide range of colors for the leather, waxed thread and more, and bring your dream design to reality.

Head to our images and explore our wide variety of leather colors, waxed threads, and more. Choose each element one at a time and create a shoe that truly reflects your style.

Step 2) We handcraft your shoes
Knowing your design preferences, we will go ahead and make your unique barefoot shoe. Each pair takes up to 2.5 hours of dedicated handwork. Since precision takes time and all our shoes are made to order, please allow 1 to 2 weeks before shipping.

P.s. Did you know we use recycled leather for our front and back parts? That makes every pair a limited edition, and every step a sustainable one :)

Natural toe box / barefoot shape: Our design is made to the shape of your feet, making them highly comfortable and creating that unique barefoot feeling.

Earthing through leather soles: Our leather soles will keep you grounded, which improves mood and sleep and decreases inflammation and stress levels.

Repurposed leather: All the top and back parts of our shoes are created with repurposed leather, minimizing our environmental impact and making each pair a limited edition.

Made by hand: Our shoes are cut, glued, and stitched by our amazing local artisans, which is a 2.5-hour process

Charity: 1% of our profit is monthly donated to two South African NGOs. More about this on our About page.
Leather has proven to be a durable material, capable of grounding and protecting at the same time. It does however wear through faster than rubber, and so here are some steps you can take to look after your Earth Soles:

- Avoid getting them wet

- Try to avoid hot, abrasive pavements and tar

- Avoid scuffing your feet unnecessarily

- Give them some love with some protective beeswax or Dubbin
